Press Release
Panoz Group to Assemble the FortuneSport Rt.R
21 April 2008 – Gwinnett County, Georgia. FortuneSport has announced an agreement with Élan Motorsports Technologies (EMT), of the Panoz Group, to produce the
vehicles of the Rt.R Development Program.
FortuneSport chose EMT because of their proximity, experience, and Indy and Le Mans-winning history. Although their ISO 9001 certification played a large role in the
decision, FortuneSport can rely on their ability to handle development tasks for the vehicle, if necessary.
FortuneSport’s owner, Teritius Fortune, said in a statement, “Partnering with a world-class organization like Élan Motorsports Technologies allows us to benefit from
their vast experience in the motorsports arena.”
Although FortuneSport will manufacture the chassis, EMT will assemble the sixty vehicles of the Rt.R Development Program. No components will be shared with EMT’s
existing race cars.
Deliveries of the Rt.R will begin in January, 2009.
