FortuneSport's first design study, Arianne, was commissioned in 2001 and
finished mid-2003. Never intended to be a production vehicle, this vehicle's
story is similar to that of a racing car. It was designed with two objectives: to
concur with all relevant regulations (this time, however, those regulations
were from the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards), and to lap a circuit
faster than its competition.
The Arianne project (PR110) was cancelled in June, 2003 to make way for
the vehicle that would be the Rt.S. The design elements of Arianne, including
the steeply sloped windshield, long wheelbase, and obsession with
lightweight are mimicked in the Rt.S. Many of the lessons learned from
Arianne, such as chassis construction, packaging, and the composites
techniques used in the production of the bodywork and chassis, have also
been applied to the Rt.S.
